Helix is a visual artwork I created for Google Search’s new personalizable widget. The image is a playful interpretation of the phenomenon of “internet spiral”↗ or going “down the rabbit hole”↗, which usually begins with a Google search.
The repeated 3D pattern allows for flexibility across small and medium sized widgets, and has an infinite number of variations with changes in position or color overlay.
The artwork can be tied to a theme, like the Google brand colors, or personalized to each user by extracting a color palette from their wallpaper.
